343 Industries Working on a Halo: CE Remake?

We have probably all heard about the rumour that 343 Industries could be remaking Halo: Combat Evolved for the Xbox 360. Well the industry is busy nattering away again about 343 Industries' plan to release the game before Halo 3's sequel, which is due for release in 2012. With it being Halo: CE's tenth anniversary next November, the game's release would be perfectly timed and also allow Microsoft to release yearly editions of the Halo series, which they have expressed interest in doing for some time. UK Xbox boss Stephen McGill said that remakes were a "good idea" and that "some people want to go back to older games and see them revisited and I think a lot of developers want to see that too." His words are promising, but Phil Spencer, Microsoft Game Studio's Corporate VP, says that HD remakes of the older Halo games may not hold enough value to consumers. We're thinking that's another way of saying Microsoft know they won't make much, if any, profit. With Halo: Reach not satisfying a worryingly large number of gamers, perhaps Microsoft intend to salvage some love for the Halo games before they move on to release the next game. If the game is released, it certainly has the potential to divide the competitive Halo community. That said the rumour is based on 'industry chatter' and therefore could not materialise at all.

wait if they make another halo ce there will be 3 of them right now there is combat evolved and custom edition(its a remake of the first halo but only certain people are aloud to have it because its like a create halo type thing you get achievement and drive and do anything ou are not aloud to do in other halo and even drive the scarab and get a achievement for it)

So you have more freedom in that one?

yes you can create and download lots of stuff and it for the pc not xbox or xbox 360 but you can play on xbox live on it even though it a pc game

Wish I had it, it sound much more fun then the original one.

it is i dont got it though i wish i did you get to drive all halo vehicles and there is a never ending list of maps
